Edit: Updated Utility, was a problem collecting data
Edit: Added Network Power Monitor Utility
Edit: Updated w/ source
Here is a first cut at the driver. It is currently encrypted until I get clarification from the company on releasing the source.
Here is the link to the company page (http://www.theenergydetective.com/index.html).
Added a Zip for a VB power monitor utility. If you want a regular install package (adds a menu item to Start-Programs), click here (http://www.biszy.com/Applications/TEDPowerUtility/TEDPowerMonitorUtility.zip)

I created a quick utility that allows you to get the TED info over a network or the internet (if you do the appropriate router port forwarding). Here is a pic of the utility:

There was a small problem with the utility updating, so there is a new version. Also, this version will automatically check for updates if you install using the installer.

Pretty nifty, Mikla! Is the big "Stop" button so that if you see someone at home using too much of the juice, you can turn off the power from work? :tounge

So who has figured out how to combine this will some voice activation?
Something like "You spent $5 this hour in energy costs, you have spent $20 today and $250 for the month"
That could really get the family involved with turning everything off :-)

How about it plays a .wav of a pig snorting everytime you turn on a light, and the sound of applause when you turn one off? I can't imagine kids abusing that capability at all...
See, I was thinking of getting the actual automation aspect involved more...so, say you put in a "cap" of how much power can be used at any one time. Then, you turn on a light that puts you past the cap, and CQC can turn off some other light or lights to compensate. I can't think of anything that could go wrong with that....

What I should really do is put in a feature that if the power is too high, it immediately starts flashing a warning message on the screen saying:
WE ARE DRAWING TOO MUCH POWER... TURN SOME THINGS OFF OR THE HARD DRIVE WILL BE ERASED TO CONSERVE POWER
Then put this on all my kids computers and run it in background...
... can be used at any one time. Then, you turn on a light that puts you past the cap, and CQC can turn off some other light or lights to compensate. I can't think of anything that could go wrong with that....
Yeh, hopefully it would select for turnoff something completely safe. Like your wife's blow dryer while she was using it (assuming you had a controlled outlet there), cause that's a big power draw. Or maybe the lights in the room she's using at the time. Yep. No problem with the WAF there. :-D I say go for it.

Not sure I am following your question... but, any of the pararmeters (40+) listed in the html file in the first post are available to the appropriate widgets within CQC.
Let me know if I did not answer your question.

I deleted and reinstalled the driver and all of the attributes appeared in the list. I must have done something wrong in the original install. Thanks for your help

Which ones are you trying to use? I will take a look in case I messed something up.

Also, go into the Admin Interface, click the Browse Drivers & Fields icon, select the TED driver and check the values. I just did, and all the values are there.
If not, double check that the driver has the right IP and Port. Another check is to type:
http://IP:Port/DASHBOARDDATA
in a browser (where IP is the computer TED is hooked up to and port is the port it is listening on, usually 9090). This should give you a XML file of values from TED. If these does not work, then it is something in your setup.

I had checked the driver from the admin interface and by trying to see if the data fields were available in other menus. They just did not show up, but the drive indicated it was installed and happy.
I removed the driver and reinstalled it and all of the data points appeared, so I must have done something wrong on the original installation.
Mikla, Did you ever update driver for the new TED5000 MTU?
Thanks
Kevin

No... haven't played much with CQC in a long while. Did the command set and interface change?

They changed the URL and every Field name. Ugg. I may take a stab at updating the CML driver.
