I've noticed that with the latest DNV (2.3.27) that if some sort of error occurs and the error dialog comes up, it shows a text box with the error details, but no "OK" or "Cancel" button or the like to close it. To get rid of it I have to kill the app using the system tools.

On a separate (but related) note, what is the latest on the progress of the DNV. Is it still down the priority for further enhancements? Particularly system and conditional commands? I'm just trying to decide whether I persist with it, or make the move to using RDP instead.

Thanks,
Mark.

There aren't any immediate plans to make any significant improvements. We are open to just open sourcing it, but haven't had the time to really think about how to do that. I guess we could do it on SourceForge or something like that, I dunno. But someone would still have to manage it and keep an eye on how it's progressing and approve changes and all that.

Thanks,
Mark. The dialog times out after 20 seconds, nothing has changed for this release. As Dean said, essentially no work is planned for the DNV other than maintaining existing functionality. We do need to figure out how to open source this code...

I'd certainly be interested in helping that happen if I can. I know how to find my way around a .NET project fairly easily. Are their licensing issues that need to be resolved, or is it more a case of just finding the time for it?

What commitment would there be to the XML gateway if it needs to evolve for new product features?

The XML Gateway will be kept up to date, since it's there for any third party interfacing, not just the DNV.

Thanks guys. I think I'll look at an RDP solution. It seems the most fool proof and least troublesome way.
