Could resist picking one of these up with the proceeds of a recent Custom Install job - No way my wife would accept another remote in the house if i told how much they retail at

Anyhow - anyones else got one yet - what a lovely bit of kit. 640x400 touch screen, loads of hard buttons - and a perfect form factor for HA control.

Interestingly has out of the box control of Escient Fireball, and Lutron lighting.

Also has an RS232 extender which will eventually give 2way control, and a wifi to IR extender.

I wonder if there's any mileage in HA control via CQC and a Pronto ? - the Escient Fireball protocol is freely available and would give ability to send cover art - track details etc. to the Pronto..

To me the Pronto and Fireball make quite a compelling out of the box system for Custom Install.

No, but I've been pondering the matter.

I'm looking for a replacement for the Pronto TSU-7000 that is the 'official' remote in the family media room. The problem with the Pronto is that it's official in name only since the Mrs. refuses to use it, much preferring the standard TiVo remote.

Whatever new comes in has to have the ability to operate as a CQC client however and I can't really see that happening within a reasonable period of time for the 9600, which may be overkill anyway.
