Is it good for HD streaming?
Does it work well with cable boxes?
Is the vidoe quality any good?

1. No idea
2. I would hope so
3. Yes
I use the basic model with coax only to stream basic tv to my smartphone. i dont have the HD model, but if the tuner model is any indication, it should work well. i will try plugging my cable box into it via coax and see how it works.

I've had one for a good while now (over 6 months). I have only 1 bad thing to say about it. I hate the cache getting flushed on every command. Some commands just don't need that.
On my HD Cable DVR, I record everything I can in HD and I watch it via Sling all the time.
I have mine hooked up to my HD cable box and it does an beautiful job controlling it.
Performance-wise I can view over both my cable and sdsl links. The image is nicer depending on the link you're using. Obviously, the picture looks sweet on my gig net at home. I even watch it on my computer using a Verizon Wireless Broadband card.

One of my directors at work has one. He loves it. He watched Seattle channels from his hotel room in India on his laptop.
