Has any of you folks with a Lutron Homeworks system been able to get your hands on the configuration software? I have looked high and low on the internet and haven't been able to find it anywhere to download. I haven't asked my electrician yet, but I was hoping that one of you would have the software and be willing to share.
I have the wireless version of the hardware.
Thanks,
.... Jim

I was able to DL this software from the Lutron website around 2005. It was on the same page as RS-232 protocol information (PDF library). I don't know if it's still publically available.

I am using the RadioRA system. Have you had luck programming CQC with Lutron? Mine works but only with Scenes programmed into the RS232 device.

The Homeworks Illuminations software is only available to installers via the lutron website.
I did get my hands on a recent copy that is working like a champ (Thank You!).
I am just at the stage of tickling the dimmers and keypads. So far CQC has done everything I have asked it to. From my experience so far, any problems I have will be with my figuring things out, not with Homeworks or CQC.

Same problem with GE. The CQC driver only seems to handle scene changes. The RS-232 interface is ceratinaly capable of addressing/controlling individual loads.

The CQC driver for Homeworks is certainly capable of handling individual dimmers. In fact, that is all I have done so far since I haven't programmed any scenes into my Homeworks system yet.

I just figured out my mental lapse. RadioRA RS232 has 15 Scenes it can control. It also has 32 Zones that are individual Dimmers.
I guess to adjust the kitchen lights to 25%, 50% or 75% I have to use the zone approach. I don't think you can set a dim level on scenes. Scenes are only on or off.

Does anyone have a copy of Homeworks Illuminations that will install on Vista?
I have version 1.18 and it is complaining that "The operating system is not adequate for running HW Illumination 1.18."
If so, would you be willing to share it with me?
Thanks!

You can tell vista to lauch a program in a backwards compatible mode (I.e make the program think it is running on XP or even earlier)
I think it is a tab in the programs property window: Compatibility.
Have you tried that?

Thanks, but I had already tried that using XP SP2 compatibility. Didn't make a bit of difference.

you can use the new 1.20 beta. works well on vista.
i'm using Lutron for all our front-end interfacing: 6 lutron procs, 65 QED shades, 23 graphiceye 6000 dimming panels, 52 CCO's, 23 CCI's and almost 200 keypads. to date i've had no problems with CQC and lutron - other than when you have a scene with greater than 100 circuits toggling, CQC may stop responding while it receives all the info back from lutron (can you blame it though)
let me know if you have any questions integrating your lutron system with cqc. i'd be more than happy to help out.
quick tip, phantom keypads are your friend :)

Thanks for the offer of help. I haven't had any trouble integrating Homeworks and CQC. In fact, it was so easy it was almost scary. I just recently started using phantom keypads. Again, almost too easy.
My problem now is getting my hands on a newer version of Homeworks Illumations that will install on Vista.
Thanks,
.... Jim
