Micah noted in his cocoontech thread (http://www.cocoontech.com/index.php?showtopic=5939&st=0) that he couldn't get his HAC07A Master Remote to copy to CQC for some reason. In addition, it seems some folks have had issues with the Elk zWave interface.

Are there master remotes out there that people have used successfully? My wife is hassling me to put in a new kitchen fan, but the switch location is totally ludicrous. Same deal with 2 light switches. If I could put in a few zWave switch and control via CQC in the near-term, her life and hence my life would be much simpler.

Also, does the driver support polling at this time, so I can tell whether the light is on/off?

The driver does support polling. Only the original ACT remote controls seem to work really.

does "original" mean those that I can buy now from tech-home.com (http://tech-home.com/Lighting-&-Appliance-Control-Zwave-ACT-Zwave/c1_31_156/p73/Zwave-Serial-Interface/product_info.html?osCsid=ffcfac3b87b3d2e28e2e21b83 02a06f9)?

Also, any idea whether ACT remotes can control Intermatic zWave switches?

Here is what I am currently running:

HomePro USB Controller which has an early beta version (v4.01) of the ControlThinks firmware. This controller is basically the same HomePro controller that many others have but it has just been reprogramed.

I have also used in the past the HomePro USB Controller whith the original firmware loaded. I am not sure of the firmware version number but it is one of the first controllers ever shipped.

As far as handheld controllers go I currently use an ACT HomePro controller v1.26 which was the first version shipped that supported the ZTT000 thermostat. If I recall correctly this is the same version that Dean purchased so that he could add support for me.

Thermostat support is still not available in CQC even thought the remote control supports it. It just means that CQC should be able to learn your remote controls data if it includes a thermostat. I am not positive but I am pretty sure that any remote version older than 1.26 shoul also work. The newer versions probably do not work.

Just in case you are interested I did a review (minus images) of the ZTT000 Thermostat over one cocoontech. http://www.cocoontech.com/index.php?showtopic=2572&hl=thermostat

thanks. I don't need a zWave thermo, just a few switches. I don't see HomePro on the tech-home site - is that the name of the manufacturer?

I just want to know which master controller & 3 light switches to buy so I can use the driver. Any help you can provide would be awesome. Thanks.

That one does work. It's the latest one that I guess has been proven to work.

There should be those ACT HomePro 1.26 controllesr around still. If you ask at Tech-Home or other places that sell it. It might be a used one or something but they probably still have them.

I got my remote and all of my HA equipment for the matter from martin at automatedoutlet.com. And yes, HomePro is the same thing as ACT.
