This section describes the CQC product, costs, licensing, etc...
The vast majority of CQC customers will obtain CQC within the context of a professionally installed automation solution. They will contract one of our Integration Partners or Resellers to design, install, and configure a CQC based solution for them, and the purchase of CQC will be included within the overall price of that solution, and will not be purchased directly from Charmed Quark Systems.
Only Charmed Quark Systems' Integration Partners, or installers who work with our Reseller Partners, are authorized to install CQC. They will have the support required to insure that your solution is successful and robust. Charmed Quark will not support or honor any professional installations that are not performed by our Integration Partners or Resellers' affiliated installers. In terms of the CQC product itself, since CQC is a software based product, you are purchasing a license for the software. The license is a network license, i.e. only one machine (running the CQC Master Server) needs to be licensed. You can then install as many clients or secondary servers as required for the solution.
At this time, we do not offer any hardware based products or offer CQC pre-installed in any hardware platform. However there are various companies which sell pre-fab PC systems. Our Reseller Partner, VidaBox, includes CQC pre-installed in their vAutomation product for professional installers who don't feel comfortable creating their own hardware platform for CQC.
The license includes all existing product features and capabilities, and the size of the solution is only limited by the practical limits of the hardware, or the quite large practical scalability limits of CQC itself, something that no residential installation is ever likely to approach.
Though we may occasionally introduce a major new feature that we make available for a fee to existing customers, this is very rare. But for a single exception to date, all new features have been made available freely to existing customers.

CQC is a very large and complex product, and not something that the average customer will wish to install and configure themselves.
